It was the season finale of “Bering Sea Gold” (Fri., 10 p.m. ET on Discovery) this weekend, and the last chance for the crews to bring in the big haul of the season. On the Christina Rose, the father/son team of Steve and Shawn Pomrenke saw their tempers flare. It’s certainly a high stress vocation, with everything hinging on the hope of seeing a big return after all that hard work.
“My dad, he’s always criticizing me. It pretty much just pissed me off,” Shawn admitted before cutting to a scene of him leaning into his father’s face and shouting at him.
“If you f*****g talked to me like a normal f*****g human being,” he shouted! “I’m f*****g tired of it, man. F*****g knock it off.”
But once they got the final weight of 166.6 ounces, they figured they had brought in nearly $ 300,000. With success achieved, suddenly the anger from before seemed a distant memory.
“We didn’t beat each other up, so that’s good,” Steve said.
“Close, but not quite,” his son laughed.
